Dear Jenny Paige,
I would like to comment on our tray-less dining on campus. I think that it is great how much water UNCG has saved by stopping the use of trays. I also feel that the portion control is a great idea, it will help us keep off the freshmen 15 pounds. I know I second think getting up for another plate of food, it helps me portion myself. So not only are we saving water but tray-less dining is putting a stop to over eating. I watched a segment on CNN and other campuses around America are doing the same thing. Some students complained others never knew a difference. The only improvement I think we do need is a plate with an opening to rest you drink. I am afraid to leave my plate at the table when dining alone in fear that something can be put in my food when I turn my back. If there was an alternative to hand carrying everything, including a side bag with books from class I think it would be easier. Again I feel that this is a great idea and it is really making a difference. If we could influence other schools in the area to do the same it would change the world a little at a time. Thank you for teaching us the benefits of sustainability.
Sincerely,
Diana Stanisic
