Deliverables Articulation

I. Introduction to the Empire State Building
1. Introduce why it was built, during the 1930’s depression.
2. Architects, cost, time, and facts about the build

II. Write about historical points of the building
A. important dates
B. when businesses inhabited the space
C. how it helped the economy

III. World’s Tallest Sky Scraper
1. Describe how long it held the place for the tallest sky scraper
2. Write about the influence it lead upon building skyscrapers
3. Lighting up the sky (write about how the bulbs are changed and what the colors represent)

IV. Conclusion
1. Why are we still drawn to this building? Write about the greatest tourist attraction in NYC
2. Representation of Good Design (Commodity, Firmness, and Delight)
3. Sum up main points with a cohesive statement

References: I will use some internet sites, of course making sure the site is legitimate. However, I need to use a lot of books for information.

Concerns- I am having trouble finding good dimensions for my drawings, due to the server it will not allow me to access plans on the internet.

Concern- Can I draw my elevations and floor plan in C.A.D.? and afterwards trace and render?
How small are we aloud to scale these down to? Can I draw the Elevations and Floor Plan at 1/8"=1'-0"
